THE POWER OF PRETTY

WOW RETRO BEAUTY SERIES

WHOEVER SAID BEAUTY IS SKIN — AND NOT SOUL — DEEP NEVER MET THESE TWO VISIONARIES:

While makeup is commonly associated with external beauty, it can also be used in clever and creative ways to communicate deeper more profound messaging that causes us to reflect and look inwards.

One recent collaboration that harnessed its potential in this direction was a compelling initiative by photographer Liana Carbone and makeup artist Charlotte Marie Flannery.

The two talented out-of-the-box thinkers masterminded a mixed media (photography + neon sign) Soul Art Collection, mechanically crafted in camera with the use of mirror and crystal, intended to raise the vibration of spaces within which the series will live while simultaneously activating a connection with viewers and inspiring reflection. To date, the response to the images has been overwhelming, underscoring the oft untapped power and potential of pretty.

For your enjoyment, we proudly present the magic of the Retro Beauty Series in this Diary exclusive, one that resonated so well with the interiors theme of Diary Vol. 8.
