MALSIE WILLIAMS

Maison Margiela Artisanal F/W 2026

Maisie Williams arrived at the Los Angeles premiere of Susanne Bier’s Practical Magic 2 in a look so extraordinary, so deeply considered, and so completely unforgettable that the entire fashion world collectively stopped what it was doing and stared.

The look in question? Look 46 from the Maison Margiela Artisanal Fall/Winter 2026 collection. And it is, without question, one of the most remarkable and breathtaking pieces of wearable art we have encountered this season.

The dress was fashioned from twelve vintage leather jackets, each one deconstructed into pieces and patchworked together into a stunning Edwardian silhouette that feels simultaneously deeply rooted in history and completely, thrillingly of the moment. The hand-painted imagery of dancing bird skeletons across the surface adds a final, hauntingly beautiful layer to a garment that already feels more like a living artwork than a red carpet look.

This is Maison Margiela at its most visionary. The kind of creation that could only come from a house that has always understood fashion as transformation, as storytelling, and as a deeply personal act of creative courage.

The look was completed with black leather Heel-less boots, one of Margiela’s most iconic archival concepts brought back in the most perfect context imaginable, and Cluster crystal-embellished dome earrings that catch the light with every movement in the most gorgeous way.

Maisie Williams. Maison Margiela. Twelve vintage leather jackets. And one of the most extraordinary red carpet moments of the year.
