SÉZANE’S NEW ERA

FRENCH LABEL IS GROWING UP

For more than a decade, Sézane has built its reputation around the idea of effortless French dressing. Now, founder Morgane Sézalory is giving the label a thoughtful new chapter, one that feels more confident, tactile, and distinctly grown-up.

The brand’s new autumn collection marks what Sézalory calls a “new era” for Sézane. The shift comes after 13 years of organic growth, prompting the founder to reconsider what she wanted the brand to become and how closely it should reflect who she is today.

The new direction doesn’t abandon the wardrobe staples that made Sézane famous. Instead, familiar pieces are being given more personality.

Think voluminous shoulders, dramatic funnel-neck collars, short jackets, trench coats, and rich textures across the collection. Faux fur, wool, leather, and tactile accessories add a sense of depth, while relaxed silhouettes keep everything feeling distinctly Sézane.

The campaign, featuring model Imaan Hammam, introduces the refreshed visual identity, including a new logo and updated imagery.

There is something particularly fitting about Sézane returning to its roots.

Before becoming the international fashion label it is today, Sézalory began with Les Composantes, a curated eBay store selling vintage clothing. That love of pre-loved fashion ultimately became the foundation for Sézane’s aesthetic.

Now, Les Composantes is returning as a dedicated pre-loved arm of the brand. Beginning in September, one-of-a-kind pieces curated by Sézalory or invited guests will be released monthly. Ten percent of global net sales from the initiative will support Demain, Sézane’s philanthropic program.

The autumn collection focuses heavily on outerwear and accessories, making it particularly appealing for the transitional season.

Sézalory says she still wants Sézane to dress people for their everyday lives. The difference is that the clothes now carry a little more emotion, strength, and confidence.

And that’s what makes this evolution so compelling.

Sézane isn’t chasing a completely new identity. It’s refining the one it already has.

The result is a wardrobe that feels familiar but more assured, nostalgic but modern, effortless but intentional.

Perhaps the next era of French style isn’t about reinventing the classics. It’s about wearing them with a little more confidence.
