MAD 2026 – DAY 2

FASHION FORWARD FESTIVAL

Montreal just turned up the creativity dial to its absolute highest and darling, Friday’s programming proved that this city’s fashion scene is more vibrant, more bold, and more beautifully diverse than ever.

MAD Festival 2026 is delivering one of its most spectacular editions yet, with a record number of local designer shows, a renewed pop-up area, and a weekend packed with runway shows, artistic performances, body art, visual art, and live entertainment that refuses to keep fashion neatly in its own box.

Friday’s designer runway shows were nothing short of extraordinary. College LaSalle, Rhapsody, Fashion Preview, Esirena, Maison Saint Marie, ONE EYE SEES, and Maison Préfontaine each brought their own distinct vision, their own creative language, and their own powerful statement to the runway, reminding every single person in the room why Montreal deserves its place among the world’s most exciting fashion cities.

But what makes this festival truly extraordinary is its refusal to let fashion exist in isolation. Groove Galore, a music presentation featuring Yuki B and Virginie B, captured perfectly the way fashion breathes alongside music and performance rather than separately from them. Because the most powerful style moments have always been part of something bigger, something that moves, that sounds, that feels.

MAD Festival 2026 is that something. And the weekend is just getting started.
