Griffintown is buzzing and we could not be more thrilled to be part of the excitement.
Charlotte Saulnier has been named the winner of the prestigious Yearly Studio Residency at the Montreal Art Center and Museum, alongside a $1,000 bursary to support her practice. A deeply deserved recognition for an artist whose work has been captivating the Montreal creative community, and a beautiful moment for the local art scene that continues to grow, inspire, and surprise us at every turn.
The celebration also shone a brilliant spotlight on two extraordinary contemporary visual artists whose works resonated deeply with everyone in attendance. Josué Medina Rueda of Mercer Aldous and Julie Robert of Archipel each brought unique and compelling perspectives to the evening, reminding us once again why Montreal’s visual art community is one of the most vibrant and exciting in the country.
None of this would have been possible without the incredible support of the partners who made the celebration so special. Concordia Fine Arts Department for championing academic and creative excellence. The Montreal Art Center and Museum for providing a stunning space to elevate local artists. And domo MTL, the innovative new proptech startup transforming how we experience urban community spaces, for helping bring this initiative to life.
And the best news of all? The art experience is far from over. The exhibition is moving outdoors, in close collaboration with the Corridor Culturel, to La Piazza di Mano in the heart of Griffintown at Mary-Griffin Park. This vibrant public square blends community relaxation with artistic exploration in the most beautiful and accessible way, and the outdoor installation runs until mid-September 2026.
