Few luxury Jewellery houses can wear the privilege of 241 years of history on their sleeve.
Founded in 1785, Bixler’s is the oldest continuously operating Jewellery company in the United States. After seven generations at the helm, the Bixler family chose to entrust its reputation to Perry Sporn, a seasoned figure in the Jewellery business whose respect for the brand’s traditions and vision for its future earned their trust.

Alice Raffin joined Bixler’s as digital marketing director in 2023 after meeting Sporn in Geneva. With more than two decades in the luxury industry, including 12 years with Patek Philippe and experience with brands such as Tiffany & Co., she was first struck by the sincerity of his approach.
“He spoke with the right words, with the right values, with a very strong philosophy and kindness,” she says.

In Montreal, in their Responsible Jewellery Council-certified atelier, Bixler’s pieces are designed and fabricated by artisans from around the world. Hand production and custom work define the process in 18-karat yellow gold, white gold, platinum, and natural diamonds, all carefully selected by Perry Sporn on procurement trips abroad.
“We are able to produce pieces exactly at the same level as the European brands, but here in North America,” Sporn says.
Bixler’s reputation for service remains central to its legacy. Sporn recalls that when a special order was running late, he boarded a flight himself to place the piece in the client’s hands on time.
That same personal approach extends to the brand’s cultural collaborations. Last year, Bixler’s placed cufflinks and a matching brooch with Dune production designer Patrice Vermette for the Oscars.
“Perry is so humble and so generous,” Canu-Raffin says. “He offered a cufflink that Patrice Vermette designed with him directly.”
Bixler’s also appeared on the red carpet at this year’s Oscars. Sporn and his designers crafted three stylized brooches for the team behind The Girl Who Cried Pearls, which went on to win the Academy Award for Animated Short Film that night. Among those sporting the piece was inter-nationally renowned Montreal musician Patrick Watson, who composed the film’s score. The brand’s broader public profile also includes its role as the official licensed jeweller of the UFC.

“When we are selecting people to wear the pieces, we absolutely need to have something aligned with our values, with the brand philosophy,” Sporn says.
A world apart from the assembly line, Bixler’s collections are crafted with exacting attention to detail, down to the precision of microscopic polishing resulting in exceptional, unique, and iconic pieces. Among our flagship creations, the Interlink Lanyard, a gender-neutral bracelet with interchangeable coloured links, brings a more contemporary note to the Bixler’s collection while preserving the finish and permanence that define the brand.
“Everyone can have the same bracelet, but they can change the colour. These pieces can be personalized to reflect each client’s individuality, while also being instantly recognizable as a Bixler’s design,” Perry Sporn says.
Bixler’s brick-and-mortar boutique in Pennsylvania is where it all began in 1785 with founder Christian Bixler, but Canadian clients will soon have access through a website now being rolled out north of the border.
“We are proud to help lead that next step and to offer Montrealers fine-Jewellery made in their own homes,” says Sporn.
“It is not only about the pieces themselves. It is about the stories behind them.”
