SOPHIE LYMBURNER

our DIGITAL WELLNESS WARRIOR

What happens when a pioneering technology executive is equally passionate about the wellness sector and transforming the intersection of digital solutions and holistic well-being? Sophie Lymburner happens. As the founder and CEO of YogaTribes, the Montrealer has successfully merged two seemingly opposite passions, establishing a revolutionary wellness platform that democratizes access to yoga and mindful practices globally. Lucky for us, she paused global expansion for a moment to weigh in for this exclusive interview:

SOPHIE, YOUR CAREER TRAJECTORY IS CERTAINLY OUT OF THE BOX. CAN YOU GIVE US SOME BACKGROUND ON HOW THIS ALL CAME TO BE?

My entrepreneurial journey began when founded Blue, one of Canada’s earliest digital agencies. With a forward-thinking mindset, I more recently guided Blue into becoming a premier live communications company. Building on that success, I launched Aquarium.live, a webcasting platform that empowers Canadian organizations to deliver high-impact live events and engage audiences worldwide.

IF YOU HAD TO ARTICULATE A MISSION STATEMENT FOR YOUR INITIATIVE YOGA-TRIBES, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

At YogaTribes, my mission is to merge cutting-edge technology with wellness solutions to address modern corporate challenges. By integrating mindfulness practices into workplace environments, residential condos, and shopping malls, l’ve helped organizations improve wellness metrics and foster stronger, more cohesive communities among their employees, tenants, and customers.

LEADERSHIP AND INNOVATION IS IN YOUR BLOOD. CLEARLY! DO YOU HAVE A LEADERSHIP PHILOSOPHY THAT DRIVES YOU?

Yes, I do. My leadership philosophy is grounded in creating sustainable connections between technology, wellness, and human potential. My expertise in digital transformation and wellness integration has led me to become a sought-after thought leader in corporate well-ness innovation.

WE KNOW THERE’S ALWAYS SOMETHING IN THE PIPELINE. WHAT CAN WE LOOK FORWARD TO IN 2027?

2027 is shaping up to be a pivotal year for us. We are deepening our focus on scaling Yoga-Tribes into new international markets, particularly within Europe and the Middle East, where corporate wellness and community well-being are becoming central pillars of development. At the same time, we’re expanding our technology infrastructure to make our platform even more intuitive, and accessible for large-scale organizations. There’s also a strong emphasis on partnerships—working with forward-thinking developers, hospitality groups, and global brands who understand that wellness is no longer a “perk,” but a core business strategy. It’s about building ecosystems where mindfulness is embedded into everyday environments, not treated as an add-on. That’s really the future we’re moving toward.
