So I’ve been spending quite a bit of time in front of oversized screens for the past while, as we get ready to go to print on volume 6 of the mag: THE TECHNOLOGY EDITION.
While it’s certainly an action-packed and exhilarating time on the Diary front, as you might imagine, it’s not always conducive to getting all the right nutrients via well-planned meals, given that so much time and energy is focused on the tasks at hand and making deadline. (Ohhhh sounds so September Issue lol!)
That said, one of my greatest go-tos of late on the juice front, that really infuses the good stuff and makes me feel instantly rejuvenated, is a berry heavy juice, brimming with immune-boosting, fiber-rich, memory-improving antioxidants and vitamins. (Yeah, you should Google the ingredients, the detailed reports on the benefits are astounding and could cause a sooner than later breakup with fries).
I call this miracle elixir: The Makes Me Berry Happy … and it does. Berry (hee).
To whip up one of your berry own (sorry, can’t help myself), see the following:
Ingredients
(makes one large juice, best to go organic)
- 2 handfuls of mixed greens (I use kale and spinach)
- ½ -3/4 cup of frozen mixed berries
- 3-4 stalks of celery
- 1/2 lemon
- Stevia to taste
How-to
Add all ingredients to juicer; it honestly doesn’t matter what you toss in first. (All items are easily processed.) Pour into glass or cup and … berry your stress … (And I did it again! 😉 )
