The restaurant builds upon the momentum generated by the transformation of Le Marie Louise wine bar into an Italian restaurant — La Trattoria Del Teatro — during the 2025 season while introducing a new identity — La Trattoria Dell’Arte — inspired by the artistic spirit that defines Espace St-Denis. Theatregoers, local residents, and visiting food lovers now have a year-round destination that places food, culture, and social gatherings under one roof.

The deeper transformation extends beyond the name. Significant renovations have expanded the kitchen and relocated it indoors, creating a more versatile operation capable of serving guests throughout the year. The result is a restaurant designed for both spontaneous dinners and carefully planned evenings around the neighbourhood’s thriving entertainment scene.

At the heart of La Trattoria Dell’Arte is a menu crafted by chef Guillaume Lepage in collaboration with executive chef Jordane Urbain. Their approach draws inspiration from classic Italian trattorias while embracing the expectations of a modern Montreal dining audience.

Among the standout dishes are the tonnarelli cacio e pepe, a Roman classic that showcases the elegance of pepper and Pecorino cheese, and the mezzi paccheri ai gamberoni e limone, where shrimp and bright citrus notes create a vibrant expression of coastal Italian cuisine.

For those seeking heartier fare, the secondi continue the journey with comforting favourites such as scaloppine marsala and pollo alla parmigiana. Each dish reflects a commitment to authentic flavours presented with precision and care.
