1. What are the advantages of being an artist and fashion model?
“Honestly it’s easier to get photoshoot for free doing. If you aren’t in the industry, usually if you don’t  know anyone in the industry you need to pay a good amount of money to work with talented photographers. Speaking of saving money, I also have the chance of booking hair shows, so I don’t always have to pay for my hair! And I’m a fake blond so those bleaching services are usually really expensive too. I also have the chance to wear outfit, funky makeup that I wouldn’t have the occasion to wear in the real life so it’s always fun and even sometimes see designer collections before everyone else! One thing I struggled a lot with before becoming a model was that I was a really shy person. Of course, it isn’t a shortcoming to be reserved, but I disliked that part about myself, because I felt it was holing me from moving further in life. When I started my modelling career, I found out about a networking event in the artistic industry hosted by Nderson Studios at Studio Focus and I challenged myself to talk to everyone there. It was difficult, cause I wasn’t used to socializing and it was intimidating since I didn’t knew anyone there… But I did it! It helped make my first connections with other models and photographers I later worked with!”
2. Who are you inspired by to become a model?
“I’m not the kind of person that have celebrities crushes or being obsessed with someone, but I really like Twiggy. Working with photographers has really helped me improve my confidence. They helped me figure out my good angles, feeling pretty and confident in front of the camera. That’s something I probably wouldn’t have developed if I weren’t a model, so that’s an advantage! Being an artist has also given me the opportunity to work with renowned producers, talented photographers, videographers, makeup artists, hairstylists and stylists that I likely wouldn’t have met otherwise. I’ve also had the chance to get my hair done, receive high quality pictures/videos, getting facial treatments for free, so that’s always fun!”
3. Do you take part in any fashion shows?
“Yes a lot! I did MAD, Fashion Art Show Toronto, Semaine Mode, I walked for independent designers show like Karim Akrouf, Maison Zoulias, NAREG and a Buch more! My next one is Up Beat on Thursday. had the advantage to wear outfits or funky makeup that I wouldn’t normally wear in everyday life and I found it so cool! I even sometimes see designers collections before anyone else + have the chance to showcase them. I also did Signature Collège Lasalle and Cégep Marie Victoria too.”
4. Any plans on performing at your shows or writing a book?
“Maybe in the future, but for now it isn’t in my plan. I’m still working on building my modelling career and hopefully having contracts in other countries too!”
