Montreal’s Palais des congrès transformed into the most spectacular universe of creativity and imagination from July 3rd to 5th, 2026 and MTL Comic Con delivered every single moment of it in the most extraordinary way.
Cosplay was undeniably the star of the weekend, with hundreds of brilliantly costumed attendees filling every corner of the venue with colour, creativity, and an infectious energy that was unlike anything else happening in the city. From beloved comic book characters and iconic anime heroes to video game legends and cinematic icons, the costumes on display were nothing short of breathtaking, each one a labour of love, craft, and genuine passion.
The weekend’s most anticipated event was The Masquerade on Saturday, July 4th, the convention’s signature cosplay competition that brought together some of the most extraordinarily talented costume creators in the country for a celebration of everything cosplay can be at its absolute finest. And Sunday’s Cosplay-Eh! Canada Cosplay Championship Final took the excitement to an entirely new level, as Canada’s top qualifying cosplayers competed for the national title in a showdown that had the entire room on the edge of their seats.
Beyond the competitions, the weekend offered dedicated cosplay meetups, photo opportunities, immersive workshops, panels, and professional cosplay guests, creating a welcoming and deeply inspiring environment for both first-time cosplayers and seasoned veterans alike.
Montreal, you never cease to amaze us. MTL Comic Con 2026 was pure, joyful, creative magic from start to finish.
