The Society for Arts and Technology (SAT) is raising the bar on dinner theater with La vie, la mort, le dessert, a five-course immersive experience that transforms its third floor into a romantic and theatrical world.
The evening blends gastronomy, live performance, and cutting-edge projections under SAT’s dome. Each course represents a stage of life, death, and rebirth, from a dramatic aperitivo to a “wild” dessert finale.
Chef Clément Boivin leads the kitchen, known for his refined approach to local and forest-inspired cuisine. His menu turns dining into storytelling, with each dish reflecting a chapter in nature’s cycle. The space itself is completely reimagined: the third floor of the SAT’s Satosphere as an enchanted residence, the dining room as a pantry, and the dome as a lush, immersive atrium.
The experience was created by Nicolas Fonseca, Michel Lam, and Thomas Payette, who bring together food, performance, and projection design. Expect appearances from Opéra de Montréal, theatrical interludes, and vivid visuals that bring the theme to life.
Presented until November 15th and with future dates in February, October, and December 2026, La vie, la mort, le dessert seats 100 guests per evening. Tickets are $190 plus taxes and fees, with a vegetarian option available.
