What are your go-to fashion pieces when creating music or performing (which led to doom other cool insights into the process)?

“Honestly, I often look like Gollum from The Lord of the Rings when I’m writing songs—half-dressed, hunched over my phone or guitar. I know people associate Virgo placements, especially rising Virgo or Venus in Virgo, with being clean and put-together… and I am, in my own chaotic way. Think a hoodie and joggers,  T-shirt and jeans, or sometimes just my underwear. It’s very Kurt Cobain meets Amy Winehouse meets Elizabeth Cotten—raw and unfiltered. In terms of inspo, some songs come to me in dreams, so I’ll literally wake up from the “spiritual realm” and go straight into recording a voice memo, mumbling melodies before they vanish. I don’t always get to them on time. This one time I was writing a song with Machine Gun Kelly in my dream, and I forgot to wake up. Funny enough, he had a song that sounded like it months after on his album. I think that’s kind of  fascinating. When I’m performing, it’s slightly different. Dressing up can make me feel confident and grounded. I’m never pretending to be someone else on stage—it’s always me—but it might be a more polished or amplified version of myself. Like my own Avril Lavigne moment. Sometimes, I don’t feel like ” performing” so I just wear a hoodie and jeans, because it’s really just about the songs, and not about myself. “

What’s the most stylish music video or photoshoot you’ve seen?

“Whew, tough one. Growing up, I was obsessed with Avril Lavigne’s Under My Skin era—those black streaks in her hair, the heavy eyeliner, the studs… iconic. I was also deep into Jesus of Suburbia by Green Day. I’ve got Pisces in the 7th house, so… that tracks, right? (laughs). As for photoshoots, I gravitate toward anything with British punk influences—gritty, bold, unafraid to be different. I’m drawn to authenticity over trendiness. That said, Zendaya is absolutely stunning in every shoot she does. And David LaChapelle? One of the most influential photographers ever. He’s actually incredibly kind—I once gifted him a painting inspired by his Miley Cyrus shoot for his birthday, and he still owns it. I think that’s a crazy fact. The first time I met him was at his house in Los Angeles. He was incredibly kind. I won’t elaborate on it though.”

Have any photographers or designers inspired your new songs?

“Not in a direct or specific way, no—but I love this question. Gregory Crewdson is a phenomenal photographer—his cinematic style is unreal. Summer G. Wagner also really impresses me; her work has this dreamy, layered emotional tone that resonates with the themes in my new song Spiderweb. ” she’s got your information, shows you what you’re craving “. I will let you wonder about the meaning of it. Fashion-wise, I’ve always loved Vivienne Westwood. I also appreciate the work of MARKANTOINE, a local designer I modeled for back in 2015–2016. There’s definitely a shared spirit of rebellion and individualism there.”

What are the main ideas or messages behind your new song?

“Like most of my songs, Spiderweb is multi-layered and full of symbolism. That’s what makes it powerful—it can hold different meanings for different people. I’ve heard interpretations ranging from addiction to depression to codependency. That’s the beauty of music—it meets each listener where they are. Lyrically, it explores themes like mental health, self-reflection, and social commentary. I have a 12th house stellium and my Moon in the 8th house, so I’m naturally drawn to the shadows, the hidden stuff. But I’m not afraid to bring that into the light. Some of my songs are bright and joyful, others are much darker. Spiderweb is about duality—transmuting pain into something meaningful.”

How does your new album compare to your earlier work?

“Honestly, the biggest difference is that this album is professionally recorded. That’s a huge step forward. Since writing my first song Voices in 2019, I’ve written over 250 songs and taught myself guitar and piano. This album feels like just the beginning of an iconic journey. I always knew I was destined for greatness. I know, that makes me sound kind of like a jackass, but at least it’s honest. Sonically, it’s soaked in nostalgia—think ’80s, ’90s, early 2000s vibes. It blends multiple languages and genres: pop punk, grunge, British rock, folk… There are echoes of Avril Lavigne, Machine Gun Kelly, The Beatles, Our Lady Peace, Bob Dylan, Connie Converse, and Elizabeth Cotten. My dream collaboration would be with Colson Baker, for sure. I think we are two of the same kind and from the same generation. Either it be in music or acting. I think he’s incredibly talented and I have also met him a few times in the past. He is such a sweet, shy, nerd. I love him. Truly. I don’t like labels when it comes to music, but the common thread is authenticity. I’m not censoring myself. I’m making music that speaks to me. If others resonate with it, amazing. But first and foremost, it has to be real. Music is my therapy. It keeps me grounded and free. “

Are there certain themes or narratives that run through the album?

“Definitely. The album opens with 24hrs / Not the Only One, which is a cry for help—wondering whether the world actually cares. Lyrics like “I’m not the only one who feels this way” and “Overplaying what I said, it keeps me up at night” hit on anxiety, isolation, and existentialism. But the album explores the full spectrum of human emotion: heartbreak, healing, love, lust, joy, anger. Heaven is a dreamy, Beach Boys-inspired track that came to me while I was dreaming. Look at My Pretty Flower (Keeps Getting Better) took over three years to write—it’s that personal. Bright Side was inspired by The Kooks live at MTelus—and my mom (laughs), who, like me, sometimes gets in her own way. Obvious is about heartbreak and, in my opinion, an obvious hit. I’ve chosen 18 songs to develop—some will be singles, and I’m aiming for at least 14 on the album. The title’s still under wraps, but the theme is clear: being human in all our messy, vulnerable glory. It’s not all emo, I promise. Some songs might make you cry, some songs might make you dance, and some songs might make you shout.”

How does your new music reflect your personality or background?

“Oh wow—this is such a fun one. I got into astrology in 2016 thanks to a friend I no longer speak to sadly –  and if you compare my chart to my music, it’s honestly uncanny. I’ve got Mars and Midheaven in Gemini, so I’m quick-witted and good with improvisation. Many of my songs are born from a single stream-of-consciousness idea. Sometimes there are two perspectives in one song, like in She Is Always on My Mind—sung mainly in Spanish and partially in English, from both the man and woman’s point of view. My Moon in Aries brings intensity and impulsive passion, which really shows in my more emotionally charged tracks. Venus in Virgo? That shows up in the practical, meticulous side of my love songs like Loving you is like hugging a sharp knife. And then there’s my Pisces 7th house—super romantic, borderline delusional (laughs) fits right in with my track  Hopeless romantic.  I wrote Toi, moi, Paris about Lorenzo Sutto Lewis. He knows—I sent it to him. We met in 2016 in the UK and reconnected later and he invited me to Paris. I was about to fly out, but things fizzled when they got serious, and then I saw him kissing (no shade) a not-so-cute guy in a video—and boom: Boy Toy was born. It’s fast-paced, alternative rock at 120 BPM. Definitely my mars in gemini showing up again.  I wrote a lot of songs inspired by him (laughs). Hi Lorenzo, if you’re reading this. Writing, singing, performing—it’s how I process and express everything. It’s how I stay alive. I healed a part of myself where I am self validating and investing in my dreams. It took time, but we got there. Finally! Anyways! My new song SPIDERWEB IS OUT EVERYWHERE! It’s on all 50 streaming platforms too! I often play on Wednesdays at Benelux! It’s on all 50 streaming platforms too! I often play on Wednesdays at Benelux!
