Congratulations are officially in order, social gals. Emma Roberts and Cody John are married.
The beloved actress and her actor beau said I do in the most romantic and intimate ceremony at John’s family estate in Sun Valley, Idaho, on Saturday, surrounded by their closest friends and family in what sounds like the most perfectly beautiful summer wedding imaginable. And yes, A-list aunt Julia Roberts was absolutely in attendance, because of course she was.
Emma was absolutely breathtaking in a white chiffon wedding gown featuring a high slit and a matching headband that felt effortlessly chic and entirely, perfectly her. Cody looked dapper and impossibly handsome in a classic black tuxedo. And in what was undoubtedly the most heartwarming moment of the entire day, Emma walked down the aisle holding the hand of her son Rhodes, now five years old. We are not crying. You are crying.
The ceremony took place under the Idaho summer sun, with temperatures reaching 95 degrees, and lasted approximately 45 minutes before the couple sealed their love in front of everyone who matters most to them.
Emma and Cody’s love story began in August 2022 when mutual friends in the industry introduced them. They took things slowly and beautifully, with Emma wanting to protect her son above all else. Their engagement was announced in July 2024, with Emma sharing the most adorable selfie on Instagram, large round diamond sparkling on her left hand, captioned with the most perfectly Emma line: “Putting this here before my mom tells everyone.”
Four years of love. One magical Idaho summer wedding. And a lifetime of happiness ahead. We could not be more thrilled for them both.
