1. What are the advantages of being a musician?
“I don’t see myself at all as a traditional musician- I consider myself to be an artist and a producer. I work conceptually, and I front my own project as a singer because I can direct myself and produce the exact sound I’m hearing, using my voice and through the medium of electronic music. To answer the question, I think the advantage to what I am is my own authorship, and the ability to translate internal experiences or a more abstract perspective as something tangible. Electronic music is a tool that allows me to shape atmosphere, emotion, and narrative- and allows me not to be limited or boxed in by any particular form or genre. I believe this fits beautifully into the model of an industry that demands fast-paced output, while also being intentional, immersive, and reflecting a complete vision.”

2. Who are you inspired by to become a musician?
“A lot of experimental and heavier music that I’ve encountered in my upbringing formed a deep connection within me, but it was also how the music and well as musicians and artists became symbolic of something much greater. It wasn’t any one person, it was the desire or desperation to lose myself in something that could be greater than myself, and producing something that gives me that feeling rewards me with a deep sense of intimacy that isn’t really found anywhere else.”
3. Do you take part in any shows and parties?
“Yes. I will be taking part in an exhibition on May.14 in collaboration with filmmaker Loicia Samson and fashion designer Hannah Silver king where we will be showcasing a short film I was a part of, and scored and where I will be performing material from ‘THE INTANGIBLE’.”
