While our precious ville is so often revered for its party prowess, we’re also pretty darned stylish, home to a disproportionate number of gifted Canadian designers not to mention magnificent big-name flagships that have been popping up more rapidly than you can visit them.
Exhibit A: The recent next-level DIOR menswear boutique at the epic new Holt Renfrew Ogilvy on Mountain that recently marked its opening with a lush launch in the company of host, maverick entrepreneur / creative powerhouse, Saintwoods’ Zach Machlovitch. (Fun fash fact: The boutique is only the second of its kind in Canada, reflecting the fine eye and esthetic of DIOR menswear designer Kim Jones.)
Not surprisingly, oodles of the city’s leading fashionalities and influencers were there (yes, dressed to the elevens in what else but noirtastic) to toast the divine of DIOR with a flute of Moet & Chandon Brut champagne and/or specialty bourbon cocktail designed by the mixology dream team at Atwater Cocktail Club.
As for the food, the menu by beloved Montreal dine destination Barroco was equally inspired, boasting delectables including their homemade focaccia with eggplant caviar and goat cheese, and roasted butternut squash, hazelnut butter, black truffle and honey on parmesan crackers.
If you’re a well-dressed Montreal Gent, this is your new addiction.
