BROMONT EN BLANC

FROM EQUESTRIAN PARK TO CABINN

By the time my guest and I arrived at Parc Équestre Olympique Bromont on Saturday, August 29th, around 4 p.m., BROMONT EN BLANC was already in full swing. Beneath a large white marquee, 260 guests had transformed their tables into flowers, candles, glassware and personal flourishes, all framed by the event’s monochromatic dress code.

This inaugural edition had begun at 3 p.m., conceived as a community gathering inspired by the tradition of “en blanc” events. With the precious partnerships of Cirque Estrie, Peartree, Balnea, Érablière La Goudrelle, Kor Yoga Pilates, Le Roux, Lévesque Artiste Peintre, Residence Inn par Marriot Bromont and Cabinn Bromont, the setting gave the formula a distinctly Bromont character.

Equestrian grounds, late-summer light and white created a visual contrast that felt polished without becoming overly formal.

We spent the next hour moving through the gathering, observing tables that reflected the participatory premise of the event.

Guests had arrived prepared to contribute to the scenery rather than simply occupy it. That attention to presentation gave BROMONT EN BLANC its strongest visual identity.

At 5 p.m., we left the guests as they opened their luxury lunchboxes and traded the equestrian park for the foot of the mountain and CABINN restaurant, inside the Residence Inn by Marriott Bromont.

Dinner at CABINN

CABINN approaches mountain hospitality through relaxed elegance. Chef Laurent Godbout’s kitchen draws on Québec ingredients and generous, accessible cooking, while the restaurant’s identity borrows from the festive après-ski culture of the French Alps.

Dinner provided a transition between two expressions of the all-white theme. The dining room softened the pace before the evening accelerated again. CABINN’s food philosophy favours recognizable pleasures with creative details, while its cocktail program, developed under Fanny Gauthier’s direction, follows the same instinct for seasonality and conviviality.

By 7 p.m., CABINN EN BLANC was underway. Although the party served as an afterparty for BROMONT EN BLANC guests, it had its own audience as well. Some white-clad revellers arrived directly at CABINN, turning the restaurant into a second destination rather than a simple continuation of the first event.

CABINN EN BLANC After Dark

As daylight faded over the mountain, the atmosphere shifted toward music, cocktails and movement. CABINN’s terrace and social spaces suit this kind of transformation. The property was designed around an Alpine-inspired idea of hospitality where dining, drinking and celebration can flow into one another.

The all-white wardrobe created continuity with the afternoon, yet CABINN EN BLANC developed its own rhythm. From 7 p.m. until midnight, the restaurant became a party setting, with the energy growing as dinner gave way to dancing. The result felt like a bacchanalia celebrating life with smiles.

A Room at the Mountain

At midnight, my final destination required only a short elevator ride upstairs. A courtesy night at the Residence Inn by Marriott Bromont completed the experience with comfort. The hotel’s Scandinavian-inspired rooms include full kitchens, dining areas and large windows, features that position the property for longer mountain stays as naturally as for a one-night escape.

The next morning, my guest and I reflected on the hours spent moving between white tables, dinner plates and a dance floor. From the quiet of our room, the previous day traced a compact portrait of Bromont hospitality: communal outdoors, culinary indoors, festive after dark, then restful in retreat. We would especially like to thank Sébastien Abrieu, owner of CABINN, and Nathalie Fauteux, Director of Sales and Marketing at Residence Inn by Marriott Bromont, for their extraordinary generosity.

Bromont en Blanc

For devotees of all-white dress-coded parties, Bromont offered two complementary interpretations in one evening. BROMONT EN BLANC supplied the spectacle of staging; CABINN EN BLANC carried the dress code into the night. Together, they made white feel less like a colour requirement and more like a passport between places across one late-summer Bromont evening.
