Rockstar it was to have been on scene at style mecca SSENSE MONTREAL this past Monday with sublime team player and forever social gal Sonia Price to mark the launch of Part 2 of #THEHACKERPROJECT, a two-part series first debuted during Gucci and Balenciaga’s respective Spring/Summer ‘22 shows.
Part Two – that officially debuted November 15th – features a series of Balenciaga pieces designed by the brand’s EPIC Artistic Director, Demna, reinterpreting signature Gucci codes in the most EPIC way:
To fete the fash, SSENSE MONTRÉAL’s first floor, lobby, and windows were spatially hacked by Balenciaga with some of Balenciaga’s signature architectural elements—logo-shaved carpet, velvet stage curtains, and weathered metal—specially reimagined for the space. (Carpets and curtains are etched with a classic Gucci all-over print, but with double-Bs subbed in for double-Gs while aluminum displays are stained with acid to mimic scrubbed graffiti.)
