DAFFODIL BALL 2023

THE 30TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION

DAFFODIL BALL CELEBRATES LIGHT, LIFE & HOPE ON THEIR MILESTONE 30TH ANNIVERSARY

Over 500 high-profile guests turned out in signature Montreal high style for the recent Canadian Cancer Society (CCS)’s Daffodil Ball at Windsor Station – impeccably chaired with devotion and vision by Cogeco President/CEO Philippe Jetté, Quebec Market Chair TD Bank Group Sylvie Demers, CGI Co-Chair of the Board Julie Godin, and KPMG Regional Managing Partner, Quebec Benoit Lacoste.

Boasting an inspiring Lumissima: A Year In Light theme brilliantly imagined by Sid Lee in partnership with party masters like Total Entertainment and Celebrations, the special anniversary edition immersed one and all in a one-of-a-kind celebration that still has guests buzzing days later …

Among the many Daffodil-hued highlights were magnificent performances by the likes of homegrown talents Marie-Ève Côté and Ingrid St-Pierre; a four-course gourmet feast by the inimitable Armando Arruda and his catering maestros at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth (featuring exquisite wine pairings generously sponsored by the SAQ); the much-anticipated raffle awash in incredible packages including a one-week stay in Acapulco at a stunning villa; surprise peek into the acrobatic magic currently dazzling audiences at Cirque du Soleil; and most notably, an exceptionally moving “Daffodil Moment “testimonial by survivor Mélina Poirier, which underscored the truest motivation for Quebec’s largest cancer related fundraising event; the human factor. Two in five Canadians (44% of men and 43% of women nationwide) will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.

Not surprisingly, the exciting and enlightening eve – emceed by popular media personalities Isabelle Racicot and Claudia Marques – raised a soul affirming $1,709,750, funds that will go a long way in changing the course of the future for survivors and their loved ones through investments in life changing cancer prevention, support initiatives and research projects right here in Quebec.

A huge congrats to the dream team behind the evening spearheaded by Canadian Cancer Society CEO Andrea Searle and Director of Leadership and Corporate Giving for Quebec and French Canada, Liette Guertin, whose dedication and tireless good work helped bring the magical soiree to life while going the distance for cancer survivors. Bravo!

A special thanks to the PR and comms pros at Brigitte Filiatrault Relations Publiques (BFRP).
