Happy Canada Day, social gals and what a day it was.
For the first time, we made our way to Ottawa to experience Canada Day exactly where it belongs, at the heart of the nation’s capital, surrounded by the most incredible energy, pride, and celebration this country has to offer. And it was nothing short of magnificent.
The afternoon ceremony set the most breathtaking tone for the day, bringing together an extraordinary lineup of special guests that reminded us exactly why this country continues to inspire and move us in equal measure. Prime Minister Mark Carney and former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau were both in attendance, alongside Canadian astronaut and national hero Jeremy Hansen, legendary Paralympic athlete Rick Hansen, beloved Quebec singer Chloé Sainte-Marie, and acclaimed graphic novelist Michel Rabagliati. A gathering of some of Canada’s most iconic and inspiring figures, all united in celebration of this extraordinary nation.
The atmosphere was electric from the very first moment. The pride was palpable. And the joy was completely, infectiously contagious. Ottawa opened its arms to the celebration in the most beautiful and welcoming way, reminding everyone in attendance why Canada Day in the capital is a bucket list experience every Canadian deserves to have at least once.
From coast to coast to coast, Canada never stops inspiring us. And this July 1st was the most powerful reminder yet of everything this country is, everything it has been, and everything it is becoming.
