A NIGHT TO SHINE. And shine it did, Social Gals and Gents as Montréal’s art, business and philanthropic communities came together in dazzling fashion for L’éclat d’un soir, the 2026 edition of the much-anticipated Bal du MAC, held September 25th at La Nesra.
Though the competition was stiff, the biggest showstopper was an extraordinary $1.4 MILLION+ TALLY, courtesy of nearly 700 generous guests and treasured partners, in support of the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal’s collection, helping to acquire, preserve and make incredible works of contemporary art accessible to generations to come.
From the high-voltage red carpet glamour, awash in vibrant, on-theme creations, and gourmet dining to artistic discoveries, the welcome return of the silent auction and a dance floor that took on a life of its own, the electirc evening was a testament to the awesome power of art, generosity and community.
A huge BRAVO to honorary co-presidents Marc Barbeau, Guy Côté and Roger T. Duguay, organizing committee chair Patricia Lemaire, and her fabulous committee: Violette Cohen, Cynthia Coutya, Erika Del Vecchio, Josée Dufresne, Francis Guindon, Nicolas Morin and Cathy Samson. Special kudos to Catherine Julien and the entire Fondation du MAC dream team for bringing it all to life.
Because supporting the arts isn’t just about celebrating creativity in the here and now. It’s about ensuring its legacy tomorrow. And that, Socials, is something worth raising a glass (or several) to.
