An exclusive driving experience brought MINI’s signature style and performance to a closed track at ROYALMOUNT.
For three days in September, ROYALMOUNT put a different spin on the traditional test drive. From September 18 to 20, the Montreal destination hosted MINI Speed Date, a 90-minute experience designed to showcase two very different sides of the MINI family, including the performance-focused MINI John Cooper Works 3 Door and the versatile MINI Countryman.
The highlight was the opportunity to take the MINI JCW 3 Door around a closed circuit, giving participants the chance to experience its tight-corner handling and sporty character in a controlled setting. Inspired by MINI’s racing heritage, the JCW brought the brand’s unmistakable compact design together with a more performance-driven personality.
The experience then moved from the track to the open road with the MINI Countryman, the larger member of the family. With its all-wheel-drive capability and roomier design, the Countryman offered a different interpretation of MINI, combining the brand’s distinctive character with the practicality of an SUV.
But MINI Speed Date was designed to be more than a traditional dealership test drive. The 90-minute experience included refreshments and entertainment, while a partnership with The Rec Room at ROYALMOUNT gave participants a special gift to use at the entertainment destination after their drive.
There was also a little something for those who joined the waitlist. Prizes included Simon’s gift cards, Plaza Premium Lounge passes, Cineplex tickets, and other giveaways, making registration worthwhile even when the driving sessions were already filling up.
Set within ROYALMOUNT’s growing mix of fashion, dining, entertainment, and automotive experiences, MINI Speed Date turned a conventional test drive into something considerably more memorable.
