A shiny new Apple flagship has landed in Montréal, and it was the perfect way to kick off our exclusive event coverage for a brand new year. As a select group of journalists descended upon the new Apple Sainte-Catherine, we couldn’t help but be awed by the ambitious reimagining, equally impressive in size (double), design (super high tech with warm, pleasing touches, including the incorporation of historic Saint-Marc stone from Quebec, local granite, and a superb art installation by Montreal-based illustrator and designer Catherine Potvin) and, of course, service. That experience has been taken to a whole new level of convenience and sophistication thanks to thoughtful additions like varied table and seating heights, access routes offering wheelchair users more space to navigate, and a dedicated Apple Pickup, making it even easier to collect online purchases.
“For nearly 20 years, we’ve been proud to be part of the downtown Montreal community, whose spirit of creativity and innovation continues to inspire us,” said Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s senior vice president of Retail and People, who was onsite for the opening. “We’re incredibly excited to build on this longstanding relationship and create a destination where our customers can experience the very best of Apple, from our innovative products to the expert care and support of our amazing team.”
A definite bright spot on a chilly Monday morning.
