Lovebird, the exquisite new cocktail bar and music salon nestled beneath the historic stone walls of Hotel Nelligan, hosted its official opening on April 29th and the evening was nothing short of magical. Notable guests including Juliette Gariépy, Zébulon Perron, and Gregory Charles filled the intimate space with the kind of warm, electric energy that only Montreal can conjure. But the night’s most unforgettable moment? A surprise live performance by the incomparable Caroline Vreeland, accompanied by her pianist Zach Frampton, that brought the entire room to a breathless standstill. The evening then closed on the most vibrant of notes with Cuban saxophonist Giovany Arteaga and pianist Rafael Zaldivar lighting up the stone vaults with pure, soulful magic.
Designed by the legendary Atelier Zébulon Perron and brought to life by Corner Collection, the Antonopoulos family’s celebrated hospitality group, Lovebird is everything a night out in Montreal should feel like. Low lighting. Warm textures. An enveloping soundscape that wraps around you like a second skin. The kind of place that makes you want to put your phone away and simply be present.
The cocktail philosophy is equally intentional, seasonal ingredients, clean presentation, and an elevated approach that prioritizes taste above all else.
