ITALIAN-CANADIAN COMMUNITY FOUNDATION GOVERNOR’S BALL

GOLDEN GALA, ITALIAN STYLE

The Italian-Canadian Community Foundation proved 50 never looked so good. On October 11, nearly 700 guests packed the Sheraton Laval for the Foundation’s anniversary and the 38th edition of its Governors’ Ball. The elegant night raised a record-breaking $2 million in donations and pledges.

Chaired by Joseph Broccolini, the gala saluted honorary co-presidents Peter Triassi and Giuseppe Racanelli for their enduring philanthropic leadership. The trilingual evening, in French, English, and Italian (duh!), captured the community’s trademark blend of pride, heritage, and generosity.

Between heartfelt tributes, a few dance-floor moments courtesy of The Directors Band, and the induction of 17 new Governors, the night was equal parts celebration and legacy-building.

After five decades of giving, the Foundation’s mission to strengthen future generations of Italian-Canadians shows no signs of slowing down—and neither does its knack for throwing a seriously good party.
