SNL50 BEST LOOKS

LIVE FROM NEW YORK

Sunday, February 16th marked the 50th anniversary special of Saturday Night Live. Pioneered by our Canadian king Lorne Michaels, the show has been a source of comic relief, political thought, and some of the greatest emerging talents. From my parents’ and grandparents’ generation to now, SNL has continued to evolve with the times while staying true to its format and traditions.

The 50th anniversary special was not to be missed. The broadcast itself brought back several iconic SNL characters and reminisced on the cast and crew that made it all happen. In terms of fashion, the coveted event was attended by almost every cast member and other special A-list guests who all dressed to the nines. If Adam Sandler wore a suit, you know it was important.

Here are some of the night’s best looks from comedic legends.

Emma Stone (pictured here with her husband and former SNL director, Dave McCary) in an amazing popcorn-forward dress. Where has this been every time I’ve tried to sneak food into Cineplex?!

Aidy Bryant bringing the spring vibes early in this baby blue dream.

Tina Fey (maybe the coolest person on earth?) bringing the gold.

Jenna Ortega in this sleek chocolate brown look.

Eddie Murphy, sleek as ever in an all-black tux.

Sarah Sherman‘s personality popping in pink.

Drew Barrymore, still the youngest SNL host ever at just 7 years old.

Bowen Yang in this amazing red suit.

Pedro Pascal in a brown suit and sequinned top.
