Charles Khabouth and Danny Soberano, co-owners of the international lifestyle brand INK Entertainment Group, don’t spend much time sitting still. Operating the most dynamic Canadian hospitality company with an ever-expanding portfolio, they’ve mastered the art of creating places where everyone wants to linger longer, soak it all in, and come back for more.

The Torontonian duo have been instrumental in shaping the evolution of nightlife, hospitality, and entertainment culture since 1982. The name INK, Khabouth explains, reflects that vision: “It’s permanent—any shape, any colour. You can do anything with it.”
They first set the tone locally with refined destinations like Amal, Daphne and Sofia Yorkville, and bold, envelope-pushing concepts like Ultra and Animl Steakhouse. Today, their influence stretches to stretches to Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, and Vegas.

That intention comes from experience. Khabouth got his start in his early twenties, launching the legendary Toronto club Guvernment, a landmark of the city’s nightlife scene. From the beginning, he understood that a memorable night out is about more than just a meal or a DJ.
“It’s not just about food or somewhere to be,” he says. “It’s about the experience—the energy of a place, the way it feels.”

“We think with one mind,” Soberano says. “But Charles is the front-of-house, and I handle the business side.”
INK’s diverse portfolio includes restaurants, event spaces, hotel developments, music festivals, and art galleries. One of their most anticipated projects is in Miami, where they’ll blend fine dining with a Cirque du Soleil–caliber immersive show that unfolds throughout the night.

“We create experiences people don’t know they want, but when we deliver it, it feels like home.”
Despite the high-octane pace of their work, both men turn to family to recharge. For Soberano, travel with loved ones sparks joy and inspiration.
Khabouth finds his rhythm cruising on a Vespa through Miami or enjoying quiet time at home. But the drive is always there. And after decades in the game, both men know success goes deeper than numbers.

“You can’t succeed in this business unless you really love it,” says Khabouth, “You need to have soul.”
