There are some events so magical they live in your heart long after the last guest leaves. The by-invitation only dinner at the Society for Arts and Technology preceding – and benefiting – this year’s beloved Kanpe Kanaval for the KANPE nonprofit organization, was one of them. While it glittered on all fronts, attracting the swishest crowd, dazzling palates with a spectacular Haitian-themed souper and featuring performances by global talents like Arcade Fire’s WIN BUTLER, RICHARD PARRY and RÉGINE CHASSAGNE, the eve was best remembered for all the love in the air, which may have had a thing or six to do with the passion and commitment of the KANPE founders.
