The Recording Academy announced the long-awaited 2025 Grammy Award nominations this morning. This year has been an exciting one for music, especially for female artists.
Chappell Roan and Sabrina Carpenter both had meteoric rises over the last year and have been given their flowers in the form of nominations for the highest award in music. While Gracie Abrams‘ album The Secret of Us, also a pop cultural phenomenon this year, was not nominated, her song “us.” featuring Taylor Swift was nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. Ariana Grande‘s eternal sunshine was also snubbed for the Album of the Year nomination.
On the other hand, resident Grammy nominees Beyoncé, Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish—each with 88, 52, and 25 nominations to their name—have been nominated once again for their record-shattering albums.
