You’ve never seen an influencer quite like this one, who’s as exuberant on-screen as she is off, whose sartorial instincts are matched only by her gracious energy.
Her 1.7 million TikTok followers know her as Izzi Poopi: vibrant, unapologetic, and unconventionally chic. We met her on an overcast Montreal day as the affable and playful Isabelle Allain.
A proud 26-year-old Montrealer, Izzi rose to fashion fame creating TikTok videos expressing and testing the limits of her personal style. Whether it be a latex dress made to look like it’s dripping wet or a wooden skirt holding piece, Izzi is unafraid to pair unlikely items to create fresh, avant-garde looks.
Montreal is known for its architecture, style, and charm. How has the city’s culture and atmosphere shaped your personal style? I find Montreal has a really chill and laid-back vibe, so that definitely impacted my everyday casual style. I love a crazy look, but nothing beats a good pair of jeans paired with strong accessories.
You push boundaries with the pieces you style. Have you always been so carefree in your fashion choices, or was there a time when others’ opinions influenced your creative expression? I think social media has really given me an outlet to play. Because at first, I never had anywhere to wear my crazy extravagant looks. And online, I didn’t need an occasion, I could just play with my clothes and experiment. I don’t think I was always carefree with my looks. I gained confidence over time and it definitely helped to find an audience that was into what I was doing. The support definitely helped me be more carefree and playful.
In such little time, you’ve already accomplished so much: working with major fashion houses, attending fashion weeks around the world, growing your social media exponentially… What goals are still on the horizon? I’d like to diversify my career a little bit more. Find new projects, learn new things. I’ve started interviewing and I really like it and would love to see how far I can take it. I’ve also been wanting to try acting since I was like 6 years old, so it would be nice to give that a try! But ultimately, I want to keep pushing the boundaries of fashion and keep working with all the brands I love.

Best… MTL shopping? I’m an SSENSE fanatic but also love Ruse for good vintage/second hand.
Best… advice for finding unique pieces? Scroll for hours and hours but also make use of your Instagram explore page, once you’ve curated it, it works wonders. I also love to follow pages like @upnextdesigner!
