While the much-anticipated new Dior fragrance J’ADORE ABSOLU” by François Demachy is as spectacular as expected – an ode to expressive floral attributes that he calls “animal, fruity and brimming with sunshine”, its essence and spirit is captured with an even more powerful message by an accompanying short film, starring DIOR muse and inspiration, legendary actress, Charlize Theron.
Lensed by creative master Romain Gavras, the captivating film features a paradisial universe dripping in glamour and beauty, but also incorporates an homage to women, diverse women, all women, “stronger together, as one.”
“The climate right now is one where it’s pretty impossible to do anything in the creative world and not acknowledge that diversity is important,” said Theron in a passionate interview with Harper’s Bazaar.
“Women from all different cultures, backgrounds and countries are coming together in solidarity to say, ‘we are done’ and are acknowledging that we have to work together to stop this lack of representation.”
